Image Clip® Laser Dark

Image Clip® Laser Dark is a self-weeding heat transfer paper designed for the transfer of full colour images to dark coloured fabrics. There is no need to trim the paper as it is a self-weeding transfer paper and leaves no background plastic polymer.

Features:

• Available in A4 and A3 sizes

• Works well on cotton, 50/50 blends and polyester and garments with a tight weave
• Suitable for t-shirts, handbags, mouse pads, leather articles, art papers and more

Need to know:

• Will not transfer white or very pale colours (use Image Clip® Koncert T's to transfer white)
• Great for text and graphics with intense colours and not recommended for photographs, pastels & gradients (for photos use Laser 1 Opaque®)

you will need...

• A laser printer
• A heat press

Simple instructions:

1. Mirror your image or artwork
2. Print image onto the imaging sheet (purple) using a laser printer
3. Place the transfer sheet (beige) on top of the imaging sheet (purple) and press with a heat press
4. Carefully separate the papers whilst hot using a smooth and even motion
5. Position the imaging sheet (purple) on your substrate with the image facing downwards
6. Apply the printed image to your substrate using a heat press
7. Peel away the backing paper when cold
8. Leave the finished item for 24 hours before washing

yolö tips...

• If you are having trouble transferring the two imaging sheets together and getting a "spotty" white coverage, instead of a full even one then check your image. This paper is recommended for images with intense colours - for pastels, tints or photographs use Laser 1 Opaque®
• Do not use heavy pressure for the 1st press as it may cause an edge of white from the coatings that give it the opaque properties
• Reduce the temperature by 5-10 degrees if the fabric is a 50/50 blend as it will absorb heat more quickly

• Run the transfer paper on a heavy paper mode such as "transparency" or "label" mode. This will slow down the paper in the machine allowing more time for the toner to adhere completely
• If possible, always use a by-pass tray
• Feed the transfer paper into the printer in portrait orientation - this is where the shorter side will feed into the printer first

If none of these tips work, your printer may be too hot to run heat transfer paper
