Protect the top heat platen: Protect your heat press and prevent ink from your transfer ending up on your heat press - Simply place the PTFE sheet between the image and the platen when transferring an opaque heat transfer image onto a dark garment.

Protect the bottom heat platen: PTFE sheets can also be used for protection of the bottom heat platen during sublimation or anytime there may be a need for bleed around your image which would then require some type of protection.

Prevent ghosting: It can also help to prevent the ghosting effect often created by the paper sliding across the shirt during the lifting of the platen. It acts as a weight, keeping the transfer paper in place.
